(Anonymous). - [Little Charley's Visit: What He Saw in Central Park]. A Superb Chromolithograph Depicting Little Charley Riding in a Goat Drawn Carriage in New York City's Central Park.

[New York: R. Shugg & Co. Publishers, circa [1872]. [1872]. - sc A superb 10 inch high by 8-3/4 inch wide chromolithograph from "Little Charley's Visit: What He Saw in Central Park", depicting the young boy Charley seated next to a young girl in a red carriage drawn by goats. A handsomely attired black man, in top hat and long black coat stands next to the goats near the head of the carriage, with a whip loosely held in his hands. The childrens' mother stands at the left of the image, her white gloved hand raised as if addressing the children. A small tear and stab marks along the right margin do not affect the image. This lovely print is handsomely mounted, with glue along the edges of the verso, into a handsome brick red mat. This print is from an exceedingly rare book. It was probably from the series "The Juvenile Classics from the Rutherford Park Press". Very good .
